The progress is on schedule and due in large part to the effective, unassuming leadership of the Brown brothers. Also, today we were blessed by Mike Greene who came by for an inspection and sopa marinara at lunch. Roof, floors, and dedication tomorrow.

Pastor G the father
We all are familiar with Pastor Guellermo Alvarez and his committment to God and the NCBM construction program. But he is the father of 6 nina`s, four teenagers and the two in this picture...Deborah and Loyda.
A Feast at noon served by the ladies
Today's lunch was served by Telma, Iris (Pastor G's esposa), and Conception. They served over 30 of us in attendence today at the work site. The meal was a soup called sopa marinara which included shrimp, fish, crab, cilantra, green bananas, yuca, celery, creama, and coconut milk. Reminded us of how a lot of onlookers were feed one day by 7 fish and 5 loaves those many years ago.
Day 5 - A Special Honduran Village - Piedra de Agua
This village is like many of the other quaint, quiet Honduran villages south of Choluteca. Just across the street from Luz y Vida church is a very nice soccer field. Best turf grass seen by Team 1 members.

Climb every mountain...and find a special God moment
At the end of the work day we decided to hike up ( approx.1,000 feet) the mountain located just behind the church property. The 270 degree view was spectactular. We could see the inactive volcano in Nicaragua, the roads back to Choluteca, etc. This terain was rough, rocky, and a sowed with corn and squash. That's right this whole side of the mountain was a souce of food for many families living below. Christain and Eduardo escorted us.
Sunday school classroom progress...on schedule
Another very productive day even though we are working off the scaffolding now. The mixers were at full speed. Even young Edwin and his friend were practicing screening rocks. As legacy has it when Bob was TL he would catch a siesta or four. Then Dennis as TL perfected his siesta on the church stage beside the podium. Today our TL did the same but he was all caught up with his block cutting. We should show you his library/inventory of cuts he has ready for the block laying team.
